I am always talking about "Breaking free from the Matrix" and "Supporting Small Businesses" through videos and articles. One thing I cannot stress enough is how the role of community support is so vital to the success of small businesses.
We are constantly being bombarded with reports about how our economy is failing and how it's been affected by this government policy or the decisions of that sector of the financial alphabet soup. We hear about restrictions implemented by this regulation or that regulation. We complain about it and we stress about it every day. Then what do we do? Amazingly, the majority will still hightail it to the nearest big box store or the closest chain store, not comprehending by doing this, they are part of the problem.
So how can we fix it?
Well, the good news is, many are trying. Some have been doing so for years while others have just started more recently. Some may ask, "Started what? And how?" My answer is, "They've started fixing the problem by creating their own businesses or supporting those that do." It is so important to give support. The success of these small businesses depends on it. Not only will this help us break free from the matrix, it can also help revitalize and strengthen local communities. Think about it. I talk about buying local from farmers and ranchers quite often. I realize this may not always be a possibility depending on where you live, but why would you go to that big chain grocery store if you live in an area where you can literally purchase fresh product. By doing this, you would be keeping those dollars local instead of paying high prices to the CEO's and Board Members of a corporation whose main concern is more money. They don't care about your health and they certainly don't care if they devistate small communities by wiping out the "little man." The more money that stays within a community, the easier it will be for the next mom and pop shop to open their doors and so on and so forth.
But a ommunity isn't relegated to just a small area on a map. A community can be a support system from all over thanks to the internet, right? We have no problem looking for the next best thing on Amazon or the Big Box websites. So why is it not possible to give your keyboard a little extra workout by using "handmade or mom and pop shops" in your search. You would be amazed at what you can find! Want unique graphic apparel? Type that in your search or go to a site where people upload their own graphics. I've said many times, I personally use Spreadshirt. They are based in the U.S and help those of us who cannot afford to go to the next level on our own yet. Do you know someone who crafts and would like to sell but can't gain traction? Help them spread the word! THEY NEED YOU! You may think, "I'm only one person, what could I do?", but that one person could lead to one more and then one more. There are so many of us who have great ideas, but if we can't get the word out, what good will it do? Yes, we have different platforms now, but if you don't have the popularity to be seen like some, then what? You have what you know is an amazing and/or unique product, but no one to buy. It can become disheartening. I know this from my own experiences. To be perfectly honest, that's why I started making videos to highlight the small business community. Of course I try to shine the spotlight on my own products because my own support system has been almost non-existant, but I also thought it would be a great way to search for others in the same position and feeling the same way I do. That's why there are pages like @SupportSmallAmericanBusiness on Truth Social.to help support and get the word out. I'm still small potatoes, but I'm doing what I can as well. It's all about sharing, getting the word out, promoting, and purchasing as much as you can from the small business community.
So tell me...
Are you going to keep complianing while you whole-heartedly continue wading through the matrix, or are you going to help be a solution to the problem? Think about it!
Much Love!
