Have you ever been in conversation with someone, talking about ideas and both of you getting so excited over the concept you come up with, you get to the point where you're both like, "Let's do this!"?
And then you wait. And wait some more. You ask the person who came up with the idea with you, "When are we getting started?", and there's always this excuse or that excuse; until you wind up getting so frustrated because of time wasted on the waiting game. Then that day happens. That day where you're like, "You know what! I'm done waiting. I'm doing this, even if I have to do it on my own." You want to implement this idea so badly and you take that first step forward. Solo. It may be a baby step, but it's the first step in your new journey. This is so important because the longer you wait, the less likely it will be to happen. Every new obstacle you overcome and every new accomplishment you achieve; clears the path for another step. Your vision may take some twists and turns, but you're getting there. And then something happens. You've managed to move forward with your original idea and move through all the twists and turns, but the ideas to add and improve keep on coming. You know the next steps, but you also know if you take just one more step, you would wind up neglecting something you've already accomplished. Remember, every goal you've achieved needs to be maintained to ensure your next step is successful. You've done all of this by yourself, but you know at this point, you need help. You can no longer go solo to complete your vision. So what do you do now?
Well first, take a deep breath. I mean, seriously, you've come this far with no help. Take a moment to reflect on all of those achievements and be proud of them. Not only have you accomplished something you may have thought you could never do, your confidence in your own abilities should be greatly increased at this point. Now it's time to start the search. You might ask, "What exactly am I searching for?" The answer is simple. It's time to search for that help you need. To find someone with similar concepts that they have also implemented and are at the same point in their endeavor as you are. You know there will be no waiting game because they also chose to move forward solo as opposed to letting their vision slip through their fingers. Find that person and reach out. What's the worst that can happen? If they aren't interested, there will be another. It may take a little time, but the right person is out there. That's when the collaboration begins. Sharing what you've done and what you would like to do to reach your end goals. Find out which one of you is stronger in one area over another. Bounce ideas and merge your visions. Be open minded. While collaborating, new ideas may come up that you may have never even thought of. It could be something as simple as having one person sifting through and answering the emails, maybe taking care of order fulfillments so the other person can focus on crafting. It may be one person is better working behind the scenes while the other excels at networking and marketing. It could even be you're both skilled at the same things and by working together, you can make the final outcome that much more interesting and/or entertaining. In the end, by collaborating and combining skills, you can take both of your projects to the next level and say to yourselves, "Job well done!"
Thnk about it.
Much Love!
